random post ahead….

Hello friends!  Hope you are all doing well.

I feel like a slacker for not posting much these days…..life has been busy!  A good busy, but it seems like I’ve been going in all different directions.

Thank you for all of your sweet comments on Ellie’s room….you made my day!  I was able to dig up some sort-of before picture of this chair.

I took this after I had started spray painting it but you can get the idea of the 1960’s vinyl seat.

On Thanksgiving morning, my mom and I ran in the 1/2 marathon we had been training for.  I think we were frozen in this picture….it was cold!!  My mom placed 2nd for her age group.  Way to go Mom!!

Thanks to this guy and his football teammates, we headed to Orlando on Thanksgiving afternoon for their chance to play in Nationals on “black Friday”.  They lost 8-0 with 21 seconds left in the game.  Heartbreaking for sure, but we had a great time with all of families.

What is it with kids and hotels?  They seem to lose control with excitement, don’t they?  Do you see Ellie flipping backwards off of the bed behind Parker?

And this past weekend…Ellie and her Dad before they headed to the Father-Daughter dance at school.  She was sooo excited to get dressed up!

It’s beginning to look like Christmas around our house.  We managed to get the decorations up this weekend.  Doesn’t that always feel like such a monumental accomplishment?!?

And on the work front, Christmas is coming early for some clients….

Beautiful monogrammed pillows from Number Four Eleven.  Things are coming together in here!

Yikes….a complete bathroom remodel.  This was actually taken a few weeks ago.  The bathroom is being tiled today in travertine and the cabinets are hopefully going in on Friday.

Love these kelly green and navy pillows from Lacefield….is it wrong that I wish they were for me?  Install day is quickly approaching.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Now you did it…you have me lusting after kelly green and navy. Your daughter looks so pretty in that sweet dress. So that is the man with the messy office? Win, lose or draw, how exciting for your son. I am mostly impressed with your mom. That is motivation!

Lol! Yes, that is Mr. Messy Office. Sweet man…great dad, but does not have one organization gene in his body!! My mom definitely keeps me motivated…in more ways than one :)

Way to go, Mom! I don’t know how you do it. My knees couldn’t handle it.
Poor Parker. How disappointing to come so far with your team to lose the National game. Another life lesson that’s hard to swallow.
Ellie looks adorable…as usual. Does she ever take a bad picture?
Keep us posted about the bathroom remodel. I want to see how it turns out.
Those pillows are stunning. Maybe you could “accidently” lose one.
No Christmas decor at my house yet. Maybe the Christmas House Tour I’m attending this weekend will motivate me.

Hi Mary…have fun at the Christmas tour…that sounds fun and it probably will be good motivation!! Take care!

Hi Nancy….that was my 2nd half marathon. I’m glad to have the training behind me…although, I’m the type of person that needs to have a goal to work towards or I won’t do it!! Which is not good. Those lamps are from the Suzanne Kasler collection at Ballards….they are a pretty blue-gray. Take care!

I love those pillows! Can’t wait to see them installed. Ellie and her dad look so sweet. I know how hearbreaking it is to lose at the very end. My youngest lost in overtime by one point in the State Championship his Sr. year. Fortunately, he had a championship ring from the year before!

Hi Kelly! I’m loving those pillows, too. I’m have a green and navy moment :)

I did notice Ellie flipping off the side of the bed and thought that was so funny! Nothing gets a kid more excited than a hotel room, no matter how basic. I wonder why? Mine like to terrorize the elevators and free food buffets. Ellie looks beautiful in her lovely dress with her handsome daddy. Congrats to Parker, you, and Kay (the fastest woman from Jacksonville in her age group). I’m gonna be joining y’all one day! Cant wait to see the room with the navy and green pillows…
