One Room Challenge: Week 5

Hello all.  Thank you for checking back in on the progress over here.  The master bathroom remodel is in the “it gets worse before it gets better” stage.

As part of this bathroom remodel, we decided to have the popcorn ceilings in the bedroom and bathroom professionally removed.  It will be given a knock-down texture, which is common in most new construction homes in Florida.  They started on Monday morning and will be back this afternoon to do the final step in this process.  This means we can sleep in our room again.  Yay!

The worst part about popcorn texture is how it “traps” dirt and dust from vents and ceiling fans.  Yuck.

This is how it looks this morning.  It looks like our house is being quarantined.

Before the bathroom was taped off the planks went up.  So excited to see them painted!  I’m going with the tried and true BM White Dove, which is the same color I used in our sitting room for the last One Room Challenge.

The wall on the left is the sink area that will be planked after the new counter top is installed.

And here is a look at the the new counter top.  I found a honed calcutta remnant (which took a long time to find!) and can’t wait to see it installed!!!

By next Wednesday, I hope to have the painting finished, counter top and faucets installed as well as the light fixtures.  It’s coming down to the wire!!

Have a great day!!

Don’t forget to check out these ladies’ progress.  The big reveal day is quickly approaching!!!
