One Room Challenge: Week 4

So progress is being made over here, it’s just that it doesn’t look like much.  Last week was spent knee-high in drywall dust, but I’m happy to say that the walls and ceilings have been sanded and the planks will start going up tomorrow.

This is where I left off last week…………

The wood floor has been installed over the tub area and now I can really feel the difference in the amount of space.  It’s hard to believe that the entire area was taken up by a tub that we never used!!  Can’t wait to get the cabinet in there.

This is how things looked with the pocket doors last week…..

Notice the nice, smooth, new drywall?  So happy that is done.  The door trim and baseboards are going in today.

And I do have a few pretty things to show you.  Our new faucets arrived!  They are polished nickel..hard to tell by the picture.  Counter top is being templated on Friday and I’ll feel better once that gets started.  Hope they turn it around as quickly as they said.  ‘Cause this girl is on a time schedule.

I purchased 2 of these mirrors from World Market a while back when they were 50% off.  They are getting painted this weekend.

And thanks for all of your input on the monograms.  #1 and #2 were definitely the fan favorites.  I think I’m leaning towards #2.  Well, maybe #1.  Oh, I don’t know.

Be sure to check on the other ladies.  Things are looking good!!  Have a great day!

I love those mirrors. What colour are they being painted? And everything seems to be going without a hitch!

  10. Hey Lauren, I would say removing the tub was definitely the way to go in here. How did I miss those mirrors at World Market?

Love the shape of the mirror. So pretty! You are really rocking this!

  13. Its crazy how much more floor space you have now- that tub took up too much space for sure. It looks so good now!

  14. Beautiful faucet and nice manicure! Wood looks fantastic!

Love the shape and style of the mirrors but don’t paint them….they are beautiful! You find things at WM that amaze me. I need to tag along with you.

  15. I have the same faucet in my master bath. You have great taste. Ha!
And when I did the guest-bathroom last year, I thought about using that same mirror. It has the same shape as the headboard in the guest bedroom. Then I second guessed myself & decided it might be a little too matchy-matchy. So I’m still on the search for an affordable mirror that I love. I have a cheap frameless placeholder in the meantime.
I can’t wait to see how this all turns out. I LOVE bathroom re-do’s.
