Glad to be back

Hello friends.  Hope you are enjoying the holidays with your loved ones.  We’re enjoying a little down time this week and I figured it would be a good time to get back in the saddle.

But where to start?  A lot has been going on in our family.  Good things, thankfully, but just a lot.  So I am going to jump right in with some pictures and try to get caught up to speed.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, my son’s football team won the Southeast Regional Pop Warner Championship in Orlando, which earned us a spot at Disney’s Wide World of Sports to play for the National Championships.  I am proud to say they went all the way and won!!  So happy for them!  It was an exciting experience for our entire family.

You may notice my oldest is smiling, too.  He got his braces off in November.  Happy to see him with a “big” smile again!

My little girl turned 7!  This is how we build snowmen in Florida.

I didn’t get family Christmas cards out this year, however, I did manage to send them to my wonderful clients.

Here’s my happy bunch on Christmas morning.  (Yes, we are a fan of the Snuggie)

And on the work front, there have been many new projects taking off and ones that are wrapping up.  I’m looking forward to having them photographed for my portfolio in the coming months.

I am designing a vacation condo in Celebration, Florida.  It is the most quaint town you will ever visit.  If you are ever near the Orlando area, you really should try to stop by.  Here is the view of the park across the street from the condo.  Very picturesque.

I am working on 3 apartment buildings in Jacksonville Beach.  Selecting paint colors for apartments is a lot more involved than houses….there is no room for error!  We’re making progress…just a few more tweaks.

I know you like fabrics as much as I do.  Here are a few fabric combinations I’m working on.

I think this is my new favorite color….apricot!

Thank you for stopping by and for sticking with me.  You are the best!

    Hi Lauren,
I was excited to get the notification in my email that you had a new post. But I understand how family & work comes first & can leave no time for blogging.
Love the fabric combinations. Don’t forget to show us pictures of the finished projects.
Your kids are getting big. Pretty soon Carson won’t be able to hold Ellie. Congrats on the football win. Those kind of games are so exciting to watch.
Hope you & your family had a great Christmas & have a Happy New Year!

      Hi Mary,
You are such a sweet blogger-friend! Yes, pictures are on the horizon. It takes so long for a project to be 100% finished. Yes my kiddos are getting big….sadly. I’ve noticed in most of my family pictures that Carson is always holding Ellie. It makes me sad that he won’t be able to do that much longer. He has such a soft spot for her…he spoils her rotten :) Hugs and happy new year, Lauren
