Charleston Designer: Melissa Ervin

Hi friends.  Hope you had a nice weekend.  Mine was relaxing and productive….the best kind!!  Thought you might like to see some pretty pictures as you enjoy your Monday morning coffee.

I recently came across Melissa Ervin’s portfolio, while most of us are familiar with her work that was published in Coastal Living (who can forget those floors?!?!?) I haven’t seen any of her other work until recently.  Love her classic design style, yet also how she keeps her designs fresh and timeless.

This house still gets me every time.

Charming South Carolina house……….

A beautiful Mount Pleasant home, which has to be the most charming little community.  Every time we visit Charleston we make a point to drive over there, eat at the Village Bakery and then drive around and “stalk” houses like these!  Strange, I know, but it makes for a fun girls’ weekend.

Have a good one!

Makes me miss the low country! I think I pinned just about every picture. Thanks for the Monday morning eye candy :)

  2. Lauren you and I are kindred spirits. I have long been a ‘stalker’ of Melissa Ervin’s…checking her website and portfolio and googling her every now and then looking for new pictures of her work. That first home (the one from Coastal Living) I have that magazine in my keep forever pile because I absolutely love that home….every room, every detail. It was the first time I ever saw a turtle shell hung on a wall! And that living room…when I first saw that room I couldn’t rest until I tracked down those two pillow fabrics on the sofa (Fortuny and Sister Parish)…still love those two fabrics all these years later. They look pink and green in the photo but the Fortuny is really more orange. The green Sister Parish is a classic and one of my favorites. Thanks for these images this morning….what a great way to start our Monday! :)

Beautiful little charmers! Thanks for that!

  4. Oh so pretty. I remember that first home – love that liberal use of green – so fresh and cheery.

  5. That green floor never gets old. I sigh every time I see it.
    Thanks for the pretty pictures.

I so love that first house too! I tore those pages out of my Coastal Living magazine a few years ago and still love to look at them! I also wanted to share that I completely understand, I’m a house stalker too and have probably stalked that same neighborhoods on one of our trips to Charleston! I’m glad to have found your blog!
