Here in Jacksonville we are lucky enough to have one of the two Ballard Designs retail stores in the country.   Prior to the grand opening, my side kick Maria and I were invited to a preview party at the store.  After looking at their products on the pages of their catalogs for so many years, I remember it felt like I was walking through the catalog.  Since then, I have shopped there many times and often source their products for local clients, as well as E-Design.  I like that I can see a product in person before I use it in a design.  I’ve always been happy with their quality and pricing …..this is starting to sound like a paid promotion…I promise it’s not!

While I was there last week, I snapped a couple of pictures of some things that caught my eye and to also give you a glimpse inside one of their retail stores.

I love these chairs!  So cute.

This has to be one of the best priced chairs out there.  This chair is upholstered in a beige/natural basketweave linen and it’s a glider….super comfortable.  $679 (and you could probably catch it on sale!)

This island is adorable….great size too…not too big.

Their sofas are extremely comfortable and well priced.

Here are all of their custom pieces of furniture….I really like that small X bench.

Love this baker’s rack…it reminded me of the one in this house.

Pretty, right?

Love this antique cabinet…..pricey little thing….$5500.

Wouldn’t this be a cozy spot to have in your house?  It has coffee and blogs written all over it.

This looks like the square version that I posted about here.

Have you checked out Ballard’s blog, Style Studio?  They recently teamed up Traditional Home to help customer’s solve their design dilemmas….it’s fun to see what they came up with.  You can even submit pictures of your favorite pieces from Ballard Designs.

Do you have a favorite?

Here’s a hint….it’s pink.  Ok, ok, just kidding.  Do you remember that I mentioned that I was going to spray paint the handles that came with the dresser.  Well as you can see, I tried it.  Still don’t really love them.  Last week, I was in Anthropologie and picked up one of their ceramic pulls in pink…the only had 2, and the other one was a little chipped.  I thought if it fit the dresser I could order the rest online.  LOVE how it looks with the dresser.  Very sweet and girly.

I was so excited.  I went to my computer to place the order and guess what friends…..they’re SOLD OUT!!!!  WHY????

So now I come to you.  I spent some time on Amazon and Ebay with no luck.  Do you have any suggestions as to where I can find something similar to this?  I appreciate any and all suggestions!!!  Thanks friends.

Wow…can’t believe it’s Friday already.  Does anyone else feel like this week flew by?

I used to receive the Williams-Sonoma Home catalog but I think when the economy went south, they stopped printing catalogs (except for, of course, Restoration Hardware..wink, wink)  I receive emails from Williams-Sonoma Designer Marketplace but it’s been a while since I’ve taken a look.  Lots of pretty things.

Love this picture….that coral throw and grass cloth makes me happy.  Oh, and that coral pillow (which I was unable to find on their website).

Love, love, love the table and chairs.  What is it about wicker chairs?!?  Please tell me I’m not alone.

Pretty accessories, too.

Is it only me or do these images make you want to lighten up your interiors and get ready for spring?

Lately, I’ve been busy with clients trying to wrap up some projects before the holidays.  Last week, I came across a new store when I was out shopping for for a client and fell in love.  Loved it all…..take a look.

I think the finish on this table is beautiful.  Typically, when you extend a round table it becomes an oval, not this one.  Each leaf is pie shaped, so when the table is fully extended it remains round.  I have never seen one like that.

I like this arrangement.

And this one.

I like the slipcovers on these chairs.

I wanted to bring this bookcase home with me.  I like the blue paint color  combined with the pine finish.  So pretty.

This chest has a pretty pale, blue-gray finish…I don’t know if you can tell from the picture.

This whole room makes me happy.

Hope you are having a good week.
