I mentioned a while back when I did this post that I am still loving the antler trend. Since then, I have been collecting them from antique stores and now they are popping up around my house.
I hung a set above Carson’s bed….he wants bigger ones. Like moose antlers?? I snuck in a shot of the desk chair that I purchased last week for $39…and yes it actually works!
Hope you have something fun planned for the weekend!!
Hi there! Hope you had a nice weekend. On Saturday, after 1 soccer game and 2 baseball games, I was able to get away with my friend, Maria for a little shopping and dinner excursion. It was soooo nice, and of course, full of laughs.
We ventured down to St. Augustine. and if you are ever traveling through North Florida, it’s definitely worth a visit. It is the oldest city in America and it’s a beautiful, quaint town on the water that is filled with lots of cottages and Spanish architecture. We went there with the intention of checking out an antique store that Maria had recently visited, Booma, that is located in a small building which has an adjoining courtyard that it shares with 2 other stores….and, for lack of a better word, is adorable.
This turtle shell is huge! Unfortunately, it’s not for sale. The owner said he is waiting for it’s “papers” before he can legally sell it. Hmmmm. I’d like to know the story behind that.
This beautiful chest is only $450. What pretty detailing.
Love the pink little suitcases and chippy pink stool….and the brass “mail box” envelope on the wall. This is a really cute party/event planning store with stationary, gifts and accessories. The type of store that makes you want to throw a party.
Aren’t these doors gorgeous? And the perfect shade of gray.
Houzz.com ran a post on block printed textiles and included my foyer in their feature. So excited to see my foyer included with rooms that had been featured in House Beautiful and designed by some of the best designers in the business. Thank you, Houzz!
Lastly, I failed to include my sister’s birthday in my Friday’s post….I know, bad sister. Here she is with my nephew John. Isn’t he a cutie?!? He’s a sweet boy. My sister was in town recently and at every place we went into at least one person asked us if we’re twins….we don’t see it, but we think it’s funny. We are only 18 months apart.
Happy Birthday, Colleen! Hope you had a great weekend. Can’t wait to see you again!!
I’ve been really good at staying away from my favorite antique shops…..but the other day I was “in the area” and couldn’t help but go in and take a peek. Fortunately, I found homes for some of these “too good to pass up” beauties with some of my long distance clients. Can’t wait to see how they look in their new homes.
$100= big impact, small price.
It is actually just a fiberglass shell and is very lightweight.
When I saw it, I immediately thought of this….
a la Jeffrey Alan Marks or “JAM” as his partner calls him (try saying it with his British accent) I miss that show Million Dollar Decorators. I hope it comes back.
How cute would that be in a boy’s room or a nursery with these fabrics that I showed the other day. Anyone?
Wouldn’t this be a great desk chair? OK, the seat definitely needs to be recovered.
Another great chair, good scale, just needs a great fabric to be reupholstered in.
This little green beauty may be going in a clients’ home
along with this bamboo side table. Love it.
This adorable cart is going to make it’s way up to Boston and go in my client’s boys’ room in between their twin beds. Can’t wait to see their room come together. I’ll be sure to share pictures with you.
I really like these bar stools and their unique design. There are 2 of them.
It’s hard to tell by the picture but this is an island!! It looks like a coffee table by the way I took the picture. I probably wouldn’t keep it red (the color possibilities are endless) but what a fun piece to add to a kitchen.
Nice drop-leaf table….love the tiny casters.
Isn’t that ginger jar beautiful?!? $350 worth of beautiful.
This great mirror is finding a home in another client’s house. Is it ok that I’m a little jealous?
You know I have a thing for benches and I fell in love with this old Parson’s bench ($1500). I know it’s hard to get a visual with all of the “stuff” piled on top.
Isn’t this the cutest picnic basket? Could find a price on it and it’s probably a good thing. I have nowhere to put it but it’s a cutie.
I often receive emails about the items that I show from my visits to the Antique Market, I was there earlier in the week so there is a good chance these things are still available. So if any of these items interest you, just send me an email and I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
Have a great weekend!!
On one of my recent stops into a local antique store, I came across some adorable vintage flash cards…originals, not reproductions. I don’t have a place for them but they were just too cute and too unique to pass up. So I snatched them up with plans to list them on etsy. But before I do that, I thought I would show them to you in case you may be interested in them for your child’s room or playroom. There are a total of 15 of them and each one is 2 sided with different pictures on each side. They are made of heavy cardboard and are big….each one is 24″ x 20″ . They are $20 each (plus shipping).

I think these would look adorable with grommets in the upper corners and hung by jute string or ribbon, or even framed in skinny black frames. Need some inspiration ideas? These flashcards would look great in any of these rooms. Here are a few rooms that I found on Pinterest.
If you are interested, please email me with the flashcard number(s) to LL@LaurenLeonardInteriors.com.
Happy Groundhog Day! So 6 more weeks of winter? I can’t see it here in Florida. We’ve have a very mild winter so far. Today is 69 and beautiful. I ran along the river this morning and it couldn’t have been prettier. Wish I had a picture to show you.
In other “news”, I’ve been at it again, you know, hitting up the local antique stores. Since I can’t buy everything I want, I just take pictures so I can share them with you. But one of these little treasures did make it home with me. Can you guess which one?
This church pew immediately got me thinking about one of our Cottage Living favorites…
and it is only $250! That is a bargain for a solid, oak bench.
Aren’t these bikes cute? Are there any stylists out there that need these?!?!
Sorry bad picture, I like the shape of this pretty entryway table.
This is a collection of official Navy dishes. I think these are so cute. They were a little pricey.
The same dealer also has a collection of brass light fixtures from old ships. These babies are heavy! They were not cheap either.
I really wanted this secretary but I have no where to put it. Now you can eliminate this one (if you’re playing along).
Love this bench…needs to be painted or stained though.
Love this sweet, little light fixture.
This old market basket reminded me of the one Joni gave away last year. It also made me think about the basket that the Polished Pebble used in her old house to store her collection of cutting boards. Love that idea.
Antique milk crate and bottles.
Love this collection of old tennis rackets. We used to have some of these when I was a kid. Wouldn’t these look great hanging on a wall in a boy’s room?
This bench needs a makeover but if you can get past the 1970′s gold velvet (unless you like that! sorry!) and look at the shape and the caning, it would look great in a hallway or bedroom.
That’s all I’ve got for now, friends.
