Hello again. Sorry for the long break in between posts. It appears my blog had a mini-meltdown from spam overload. We’re back, hopefully, problem free for a while. My plan/goal/hope is to get back onto some sort of regular blogging schedule. Thanks for sticking with me!
Our trip to Atlanta not only included a couple days at market, but a visit to the Atlanta Design Center and Scott’s. But first, here is a picture of Nathan Turner from the mart. Sorry it is so blurry.
He talked about how he got his start in the design business, his laid-back design style and his new book. Joanne and I met him when we had our books autographed and he is sweet, funny and down to earth……exactly like he is on the show. I felt like I was watching an episode of Million Dollar Decorators. Really. Of course, he was asked about “Mums”. He said that she sent out a tweet the day before asking if anyone “had seen Nathan” because it had been 6 hours since she called him and he hadn’t called her back. Awww, aren’t they are the cutest?!?
Ok, onto Scott’s.
Lots of beautiful paint finishes.
Then there is a whole other world outside of Scott’s, where if it exists, you will find it. Don’t have any pictures really other than this from this amazing salvage yard on the property. Recycled house parts as far as the eye could see.
And here is just a little bit of prettiness from ADAC.
Lots of navy and green…….
Love these traditional prints in fresh colors.
And speaking of Mums, Mary McDonald’s collection from Schumacher.
I’m still not over ikat…are you?
Celerie Kemble’s new wallpaper line. This is grasscloth!
Oh, how I like Michael Smith. Pretty.
More navy and green..
I probably should not show you these, but I took these pictures as we were walking past the showroom. Stopped us dead in our tracks. It was only after we walked into the showroom that we saw the “No Photography” signs. Ooops!
Look at those floors. It was gorgeous!
Oh, I’m ready to go back.
Thanks for stopping by today!

I went to the Chicago show and all I heard was how much more awesome and amazing Atlanta was. Thanks for sharing your “secret” pictures. They look like places I need to visit next time I am out that way .
First, I can’t believe that wallpaper is grasscloth! Second, I love MIchael Smith’s fabric. Third, that kitchen is amazing and I am so happy you shared the pics!! Wow, it would be a dream to be surrounded by so many inspirational design elements – designers, fabrics, furniture, showrooms, etc.!
Lauren sorry you had blog problems…how frustrating!
Great photos…love that kitchen especially. And no, I am not over ikat either…really love the way it looks. Those are some gorgeous fabrics. Really drawn to the China Seas.
Looks like you had a great trip!
I am dying over those fabrics. I love all of it. Hope you don’t get into trouble for posting the beautiful pictures at the end.
I missed you but I’m glad you had a good trip.
Scott’s is like my Disneyland. I dream of going there one day.
That kitchen! I might cook more if I had a kitchen that pretty.
