I am currently working on a master bedroom sitting area with so much potential. It is a beautiful space with lots of windows and natural light and plenty of room to incorporate different seating options. I was browsing Houzz and Pinterest and came across these pretty spaces.
I love how the drapes help divide the space and really makes it feel like a room of it’s own.
I like this set-up for arranging furniture in a bay window which are commonly found in master bedrooms. The drapes and shades are perfect, too.
I know this is a major no-no to post the same picture twice in one week, but I had never seen the room from this angle before. You can see more of the furniture pieces that were used and get a feel for the layout of the room.
Love this idea if you have a smaller room but want to carve out a cozy space.
I would happily take every piece of furniture in this space. So pretty!

And speaking of Houzz, they voted me Best of Houzz 2013!! Very exciting. But since I am technically inept, I don’t know how to add the banner (lol!), but here is a link to my Houzz profile.

One of the great things about this blog is the opportunity to meet and work with clients from all over the country through my E-Design service. One of the first blog friend’s that I met was Karen and she hired me to help her with her dining room and living room (which I posted about here and here). Check out Karen’s post about e-design, and read about it from the client perspective!!!
Have a great weekend friends.

Lauren…thanks so much for the shout out. As usual, you rock!
Please feel free to post pictures of Melissa Ervin every day if you want….never get tired of looking at those rooms!
Major congratulations on your Houzz award! That is so cool and I’m defintely going to check you out!

P.S. the second to last photo….dying! Love everything! Pinned it of course!
That first pic is stunning! I love the cutout doorframe with the drapes-just heavenly!
Congratulations, I am going over to check it out. The “here & here” links are not working. I just went to Karen’s to see it. It’s really lovely.
I forgot, I really love a shared ottoman. That is so cozy and a tad romantic
I mentioned your work for Karen in my blog post today. Love that coffee table in the last photo. I wonder who makes it? Have a great weekend!
Mary Ann…coffee table looks like Bungalow 5 to me.
